About our working groups
The Community Council may arrange subgroups to undertake specific tasks. The current Working Groups are detailed below.
DEFIBRILLATOR UPGRADES & PURCHASE
Planning for the upgrade of obsolete defibrillators and the purchase of additional ones to ensure better cover throughout the community council area
EMERGENCY RESILIENCE GROUP
A group set up to anticipate and plan responses to local emergency situations.
Currently working to update the Emergency Resilience Plan. To plan for and respond to localised emergencies such as flooding, adverse weather and loss of services.
Sourcing and storing community equipment for use in emergencies.
Organising First Aid training and a First Responder group.

JUBILEE PARK REFURBISHMENT
Working to provide a usable and pleasant park area with play equipment at Jubilee Park adjacent to Cathel Square.
IMPROVING COMMUNAL GARDEN AREA(S)
Currently working on landscaping, adding features and planting the garden area between the junctions of Station Court and Cathel Square on Station Road.
